What Is The Difference Between A Hot Niche And An EverGreen Niche
To me a hot niche is something that is either very currant, such as news, weather, an event. For example here in the UK when we had the general Election and there was no Goveremnt for a time, this was a very hot niche. Could you have made money, yes most likely, this hot niche was getting warmer and warmer by the day. If you had gone in and bought a domain name, set up a website and had some links and Adsense in there, you would have got the visits and the clicks, but after a week that would have died down to nothing. If you want to play in the hot niche game you do need to be ready to buy domain names, build sites and get SEO done in hours.
You can have something that is hot and evergreen at the same time, a good example is Halloween. This become hot from September onwards and peaks mid October, then dies down until next year. Now you can add, say Baby Halloween outfits, this is an evergreen niche, but stay away from say Super-Hero baby outfits. The reason being super-heros change each year. You are far better picking baby Halloween costumes, as these will sell year in and year out.
An evergreen niche is something that is always there and you will make money from it day in and day out. And as long as you keep adding fresh content on a regular basis you will always get the visitors and then these visitors will buy and click and this will bring you in money on a regular basis.
For example let us say you have an evergreen niche on Birthdays, and it brings in £1.00 a day , that is £30.00 a month. You say what £1.00 how can one live on a £1.00 aday…………………………. Grow up you can, and many people do……………………………. What ? Ok lets be fair you now have 10 sites, all bringing in a £1.00 aday this now equals £10.00 a day does this sound better ? And if you need more make more sites.
Some good evergreen niches to choose from to always make money from are:
@ Kids and Babies
@ Health
@ Sex
@ Money
@ Retirement
@ Home and Garden.
And within those evergreen niches you will always find some hot niches to make some quick money from. But remember it is far better to make long term money than it is to make fast money. And if you choose some of the above evergreen niches you will make money year in and year out.
