If you are looking for a new product range or a new line of products to sell online, but just do not have the spare cash to invest there is help out there. The help I am talking about is the wonderful world of Drop Shipping, but before you jump straight in and sign up with a drop-shipper there are a few tips that I would like to tell you about, as you do need to be careful when you are looking and using drop shippers. And when you are looking if it looks to good to be true, take a closer look as it may not be as good as it all seems.
@ The first step that you need to take when you are looking or sourcing a new drop shipper is that they carry the line of items you are looking for, and also they carry a deep inventory of the product line, this will let you keep adding new lines on a regular basis.
@ The next tip when you have found a new drop shipper is before you sign up, is to buy a product. Go through the buying process off the site, is it painless, was it straight forward, and did the product arrive on time and was the packaging in good condition. If all of these were positive, then everything looks good.
@ The next step will involve you signing up with the drop-shipper (now some may ask for a small fee, this is quite normal, but try and choose ones that are free. You will find the ones who charge will often refund the money with the first order – just ask). Once you have signed up you can get to work.

@ When you have signed up and joined and the drop shipping company have accepted you they will send you your login details. With these details you can access the website. Here you should be able to get pictures, descriptions, prices, postage costs, and even often an rss feed, this will allow you to import all of the database or just parts of it into your website.
@ Once you have the products added to your own store, or auction site, all you will need to do is promote and market the site. Once you get an order, you will log in to the dropshipper and follow the order process. You will need to give the customers name and address etc. You will then pay for the item, and send the order or order off.
@ You make your profit from what you have charged your customer and the difference the dropshipper charges you. So you do need to check your figures that there is enough profit there.
The beauty of drop shipping is the fact that there is no cash outlay, you can have many items in your store and you only pay once you have an order. And as long as you follow a few simple guide lines the world of drop shipping could mean extra profits for you and your business.
