Tool Tuesday – Smart Phone

We live in a modern and instant world, and if we are serious about our eBay and online business we need to be using some sort of a smart phone. Over the last few years I have been using an iPhone and currently I am using a Samsung Galaxy S on the Android platform. But going back 4 years I was really against having an iPhone, I thought they were silly and to just show off with. Sorry, but that was me. But then I bought one, and oh boy, yes it was a cool toy and yes a bit showy, but the difference it made to my business was amazing.

I could up date listings, answer emails while out and about, but there was so much more I could do. Down loaded some Apps that told me what prices items were selling for on eBay and Amazon, right there and then in a shop or market, I could just scan or enter the item name or bar code and within seconds I had all the data I needed to tell me if I had a winner or not. No more buying blind, and no more missing out on that home run.

One of the important things to remember when buying a new smart phone either Apple or a Droid (Android) Platform is to make sure the data plan you pick works in your area. There is no good buying an all singing and dancing phone and find the company who provides your data and call package does not work where you live or do your product sourcing.

Over the coming weeks and months I shall be bring reviews on the best Apps out there that allow you to run your business on the move. So if you have not yet ventured into the world of the Smart Phone and you are serious about your eBay business, do not delay, go and buy one very soon, if not sooner.
