Evernote

Hello and welcome to a new section on my blog Tool Tuesday. Each Tuesday I will be bringing you some of the tools I have used in my business over the years and also I shall be looking at new tools and gadgets that are out there that can help you with your eBay and online business. So this tuesday’s tool is Evernote. Evernote works on both the iphone and Android platform, and I have expirience of it on both of these, and it both simple and complex at the same time. What do I mean ? Well the design is simple and easy to use, but there is a hidden depth to the whole process, and if you want Evernote can be very detailed and complex in what you have it do.

But Evernote is far more than a tool you use on your phone to capture notes, thoughts, photo’s and webpages, yes you can use it for that, but Evernote also works on your PC (and Mac), and when you combine the two with the cloud computing you are all singing and dancing.

For example I can compile a list of items I need in Evernote on my computer at home. I put them into a folder, and press sync, here is where the magic happens. Evernote send it upto the cloud and stores it there. I go out, hit the app on my phone and there on my phone is all my evernote folders, I find the one I need, open it and there is my list.

Another example, say you are working on an article, but you get a call that makes you go out. Copy the article into evernote and if you have time while you are out, you can finish off the article. Press sync, and when you get home there the finished article is waiting for you to use.

Those are just some of the many use’s I have used Evernote for, and as you dig deeper in Evernote you will find many other app’s allow you to sync and use Evernote. This is one very powerful tool that once you have used you will never be away from.
