I guess you will have heard the phrase “Finger On The Pulse“. People use this term when they are talking about life, business, or what is happening. But today I want to talk about the phrase “Finger On The Pulse” in relation to your eBay business. All too often when we are looking for a new product to sell on eBay we just take a look at what the local Cash and Carry has (or where ever you source your products from) and go and buy a few or a pallet load. Now while mostly this can work out OK, there is a way to to source products that people are looking for and are doing searches for right now on eBay.

I am talking about eBay Pulse. eBay Pulse is very unique in the way it gives you the data. Unlike many research tools eBay Pulse, pulls it’s data from the search that are happening right now on eBay sites across the world. (In fact each eBay country has it’s own eBay Pulse and the data is different in each country).

When you first begin to use eBay Pulse to do your research you are best to stick with the country where you list, and once you are used to using it, then branch out into other countries where you wish to sell. But once you have used it, is is the same the eBay world over.

To help you understand eBay pulse better I have included a video by a good friend of mine Amanda O’ Brien. Amanda is a powerseller and sells on eBay on a daily basis so she knows what works and what does not work.
