Eggs All In One Basket Part Two

Following on from my last post about not having all your eggs in one basket, I have had some very good feedback, plus comments like, how do you manage all of that. To be honest it does look a lot, and I do not do it all everyday. Most of my time is given over to eBay related items – listing, training, research, product sourcing. Then in spare time I will do some affiliate marketing, using sites such as Hub Pages and Squidoo. (And do have some niche blogs, but these often pull data feeds from my HubPages and Squidoo Pages so do not take long)

As for Squidoo and HubPages I set myself one hour to write a Squidoo lens and submit all the feeds and pictures to it, when I first started it used to take me around three hours, I have now got it down to a fine art of 45 minutes for a squidoo lens and 15 minutes for a Hubpage. Then when I have time I go back to these add new content and keep them fresh.

For this blog I spend again no more than an hour, but if I have important stuff to write about will spend that bit extra.

Being self-employed is all about planning and setting yourself goals, for me the mixture works, while for other people they have set days to do stuff like eBay, the affiliate marketing. You need to use what is right for you and what is in your business plan. But what ever you do, you must take action and work on your business on a daily process. Each step you take is a step nearer making that sale and making that affiliate commission.

Hope this helps
