At times it makes me sad and other times it amazes me when people say there is nothing to learn about eBay and selling online. Well I guess they could be right if they want to put a load of items up on eBay and they never sell (unless of course you have something very rare, but still a bit of help will get you a higher price).
I have been selling on eBay for over 11 years now, and as well as selling on the site I train and consult others how to do the same thing. You may think I know it all……………………………. well no I don’t and each week I spend up to 10 hours learning and researching for myself and my clients. eBay and learning goes hand in hand, the more you learn the more you will be able to list, and the more you list the more you sell.
Recently I have taken on a new client and they are just drinking in the training I am giving them. Yes they are making mistakes, but they learn from the mistakes, and move on. For me I am learning about a new niche, plus I am learning all about dealing with a company from another country and how to help them overcome many of the challenges they are facing.
Let me set you a challenge. Each week spend just one hour, and learn something new about eBay or eCommerce, and once you have learned all about the one area, spend another hour and put what you have learned into action. It is ok to learn, but if you do not put what you have learned into action, then you will have wasted all that time. Then the following week, learn about something new.
Over a year you will have invested in 52 hours of learning all about eBay, and you will have put over 52 hours of new ideas into your eBay business. Just think what that could mean for your business and for the difference it could mean to your family. Now go and spend some time and invest in your eBay business and do some learning.
