Well if you have not noticed we are now on the final countdown for the Christmas holiday’s. For seller’s on eBay you need to know the last days for posting items.

  • The last day for posting overseas
  • The last day for internal mail

Once you have been able to do this, you need to check that you say this on all your eBay auctions and buy it now’s. It will take you a little while to do this, but it is well worth it in the end as you do not want to have upset customers and buyers saying the gift they had just bought never turned up.

Watch, listen to some of these great speeches.

Following on with our weekly dose of inspirational videos I came accross this one today. So watch, dream and them take action on those dreams.

If you want to be serious about your business then you really need a domain name. Today we are really lucky, when I first started marketing and selling on line it cost be around $200 per domain name per year.

These domain names have really come down in price and today places like Godaddy are selling them from $7.49 some times a bit cheaper if you buy them for a few years at a time.

If you sell online there will be times Scanswhen a picture just does not work for your item. The best way to show off the item you are selling is to take a scan of it.

Scans work really well for paper products and some other flat objects.

Also if you sell small items like jewellery then a scanned image will work very well for this and show your item off a lot better.

Now I am going to be honest here with you it is going to take you some time, but if you put the time and effort in now, you will get good results with your auctions and buy it now.

But remember the same goes for anything if you are selling poor items then you will either not sell items or get allow price.

But think positive we are talking paper items here and people will pay over the odds at times. The main thing is when you list your items be very honest and under sell all the time, if there is a rip or small mark tell the people, never ever clean up your image.

Step 1 – Get all the items you want to scan ready in a pile.

Step 2 – Go to where you store your images on your computer and create a new folder and call it scanned images.

Step 3 – Take your first item and place it on your scanner.

Step 4 – Scan away, once you have scanned just check it looks ok and then click save as. Now call it a name that means something to you, so that you can find it straight away when you start to list.

Step 5 – You need to save it as a jpeg file.

Step 6 – Rinse and repeat, and work your way through the items.

Step 7 – Once you have finished, everything will be ready to start listing.

Step 8 – Do it today, do not put it off, for you could be throwing money away, but not selling those small and paper items.

Those simple eight steps above are just the bare bones. I have not covered how to use your scanner as each scanner works in a different way, nor have I told you how to use the software that your scanner uses. The reason for this again is that software does vary and what I use (Photoshop) may be very different from what you use.

If you are having problems trying to work out how to use your scanner or software, then pop a long to YouTube and do a search on there and you will find videos showing you step by step how to use both your scanner and the software.

Hi, While looking online for some items, I came across this wonderful video, the music and words just captured it all.

Please take five minutes out of your day, sit back, and just reflect on the words.

Have a blessed day and week

Hi,

This is just an advanced warning to my UK readers and those who read in other countries and post to the UK.

The other week Royal Mail services in the London area (and post that passed through) was effected by a one day strike.

There are now further reports that the Postal service could be upset by strikes in London and other selected areas on the 25th, 27th and 28th July 2009.

The best thing to do is keep an eye on the RoyalMail.com website and warn your customers if you are posting in and around those dates.

If I hear of further news I will post it here.

Thanks

Hi,

This is just to say due to some other commitments I have not been updating this blog as often as I should have. But we are back to normal and normal service should be resumed this week.

Also I have been spending this “Down Time” to fine tune my business and see where we go from here. This blog will be the main hub for now.

I want the best that there is for you my readers and to see you able to make money on eBay and other online selling platforms.

I have been taking lessons from the great Janelle Elms and OSI Rock Stars and learing how to start and re-launch my Trading Assistant Business. If you need or want to know how to do this then pop along and join OSI Rock Stars and follow a long on this great money making venture and also learn tons more.

There will be lessons both online and offline and for more on this take a look at my Education Area.

And another area I shall be covering on here is Affiliate Marketing as I feel this does go hand in hand with selling your own items and gives you another income stream…………….  So please watch this space.

And all the above is extra to the normal blog posts that you have all been enjoying.

Happy Selling
Andrew
