Hi,

Over the next few weeks, having taken advice from Janelle Elms of OSI RockStars I am changing parts of this blog.

For example I have bought a new domain name and will be using this for my Education Specialist Program, and  this will be a static site with just a few articles there, but the base will be the classes I teach. this will be on LinfordDirectTraining . com (This is NOT live yet).

And I have bought another name for my Trading Assistant business.  This is on Trading-Assistant-In-Staffordshire . com again as yet this is not live.

Then I shall use this blog, to post hints and tips, product sources etc, and as the two new ones will be more static I shall not have to spend loads of time on them, just updating when I add new classes etc.

BANS

Well at 9pm I took the plunge. I opened my Wallet and took out my card, blow off the cobwebs, and bought the BANS software.

At 9.10pm I logged into my hostgator account and found a domain name that I was not using. (For those tech people out there I have a resellers account, so It is rather like having a new account – it costs me $24.00 a month)

At 9.20pm I followed the detailed instructions – Note here it is worth while to print these out as you can keep by you as you set up the account)

At 9.30pm I started the upload using Cute FTP.

At 9.45pm I hit a snag with one of the folders it said an error had happened, but to be fair I think that was my fault as my computer had decided to do a virus check and some other stuff..

At 9.50pm I had taken off the script folder.

At 9.53pm I had re loaded the script folder and all was well.

At 10.02pm I had the script loaded onto my account.

It was as easy as they say.

Tomorrow I will start to add content, and also let you have a look at my work.

This will be a thread in progress.

Over the past few weeks and months people have been asking me what do you think of this product or what do you think of this program, and until now I have been a bit put off from giving my point of view on eBay resources. Well that is all about to change and starting next week I am launching a series of postings looking at what resources there are out there , and what I think of them.

Now I have a challenge for those people out there who have produced eBay and other on line resources. Going from software, to ebooks to real courses that are produced on paper and DVD.
The challenge is if you have produced any type of resource or you own the resell rights to any, then send me a review copy. I will use it and give my honest opion of it.

So come on all of you who own or produce this type of resource, are you up for the challenge if so drop me an email and we will take it from there.

The 10 Best Words For Headlines

I Hope Most people in business have heard of the great John Caples. John Caples. John Caples was in charge of the 3rd largest advertising agency in the USA for almost 40 years.

In his job John Caples looked  and tested everything and one thing he was very hot on was the Headline the headline will make or break your advert, your letter, eBay listing in fact anything you do.

He took 100 of the best and most successful adverts of the time. These were headlines that made clients money, bought them in new clients and sold the most items.

And he (John Caples) came up with a list of 10 words. These 10 words were the most frequent words in the top 100 adverts of the time.

1)     You This appeared         31 times.

2)     Your This appeared      14 times.

3)     How This appeared       12 times.

4)     New This appeared       10 times.

5)     Who This appeared         8 times.

6)     Money This appeared         6 times.

7)     Now This appeared        4 times.

8)     People This appeared       4 times.

9)    Want This appeared      4 times

10)  Why This appeared      4 times.

From this very simple list of words we can see that You and Your are the, most common.  They appear more often in the worlds most successful adverts and marketing pieces.

This is because the successful people in sales and marketing have learned a very simple secret. This is………………………. That all the adverts and letters we write should be aimed at one goal. And that goal is they should be aimed at the person reading the advert.

Please do not write as if you are writing to thousands of people, write as if you were talking or writing to your best friend sitting next to you.

And when you have mastered this tip, then you will really be on the way to making money from words.
