Buy Items From Shops Sell Them On eBay
Today I want to chat to you about a concept that has been around for years, but it is spoken and taught about not very often and that is the power of buying items from shops and then selling them on eBay. – (Also where I say eBay the same principal can be applied to Amazon as well)
But I can hear you say, how can anyone make money from buying items at retail and then selling them online at places such as eBay and Amazon, well it is fairly easy, and once you have learnt a few ground rules, you will be out buying day in and day out – and no this does not mean you need to go to charity / thrift shops, but you can if you wish. The way I am about to show you is going about your everyday shops that you visit to buy food, clothing, and other bits and pieces.
Now there are full blown courses that go into much more detail and if you want to learn more I do recommend you looking into these later on once you feel this is an avenue you want to go down. So how does this all work ?
How To Buy Items From Shops And Sell Them On eBay
You are out in your favourite shop buying your groceries and other items for the week and as you turn the corner to go up the next isle something catches your eye. There is a whole section that says 75% off everything. Now normally you would let this pass you by as you do not use the items nor do any of your family, but from this day forward I want you to be in Product Sourcing mode when you are out shopping. That section could be like a gold mine to you. 75% off, in money terms this means if an item normally sells for £10.00, today it is only £2.50, and you are left with a difference of £7.50.
Shops often sell these items to clear a range, or if it is an end of a season, but remember they need to do this to make room but as an online seller you can list and let it sell. Yes we need to be aware of the seasons and trends, but we can be more flexible.
Also we can by products that are in regions, for example you may only be able to buy a certain brand of coffee or sweets and it is only available in a few shops around you. But how many other people would like to buy that brand who have moved away or sampled it when on holiday……………..I would guess a lot. So you can be the supplier.
######### A Side Note : You do need to be aware that not all things will sell quickly and if you are buying food items please check their sell by date, as often food items are sold off at steep discounts because of their dates #########
Some of the items you will buy you can turn around and sell in a matter of days or weeks, but if you have the storage space and some spare cash, you can buy Halloween items or Thanksgiving items once the time has passed at steep discounts, hold on to them and then sell them the following year.
So when you are out and about shopping always be on the lookout for items that you can buy at a discount and then re-sell for a higher price on eBay or Amazon.
In closing it is a good idea if you want to go into this model in a serious way, you will need to invest in a Smartphone, this will allow you to use something like Terapeak to see what the item sells for and if it is a good buy or not. A smartphone will also allow you to scan the bar code and this will give you the selling prices on eBay and Amazon and if you can see a price difference in your favour and you have the spare money, go and buy some of the items.
In closing go out and buy some items from a few shops and then get them listed on eBay and then watch the money roll in. Of course if you find a flier you can keep going back and buying stock and then visit other shops and do this until the deal has finished and rinse and repeat and keep on doing it time after time. So go out today and buy items from your local shops and sell the them on eBay and see that money come in.
